Snapshot
One free page, within 24 hours
A Snapshot is a first look at why your product isn’t selling. It’s one page, it’s free, and it shows you how we work before you pay for anything.
Free
Nothing to pay. One request per email address per day. We email the page within 24 hours.
Who it’s for
It’s for a founder whose product is live, or nearly live, and who wants a straight first answer. If the product isn’t on the web yet, send a short description and we can still write the page from that.
What you get
One page, with these parts:
- The question, in one line.
- A verdict: Go, Conditional go, or Stop, and a score out of 50. The score is our judgement, so we mark it as an estimate.
- Three to five facts. Each one has a source: the page we read, and the date we read it.
- Anything we couldn’t check, when a page we needed wouldn’t open. We leave this out when we opened every page.
- One line on what the full Teardown would cover.
The page has to fit on one side of A4. We don’t pad it.
An example
We published a real Teardown of Named Atlas, a live product at namedatlas.com. We read the site on 9 October 2026. The verdict was Conditional go, score 21/50, marked as an estimate. The owner agreed we could publish it. A Snapshot is the short version of that kind of read: a verdict, a few sourced facts, and what the rest would cover. Read the Named Atlas Teardown.
How it works
- You send the link, or a short description if it isn’t live, and one line on what isn’t working. You confirm you own or run the product.
- We read the product and the pages we cite, and we write down the date we read each one.
- We email you the page. There’s no account to create.
Timing and price
We email the Snapshot within 24 hours of your request. It’s free. If a page we needed wouldn’t open, we say so on the page rather than guessing.
Refunds
There’s nothing to refund. If you go on to buy a Teardown, that has a 14-day fix-or-refund promise. The details are on the refunds page.
