Teardown+
The Teardown, plus a read-only look at your tracking
Teardown+ is the full Teardown, and then a look at whether the tracking on the site is telling the truth: whether visits are counted, where people leave, and which searches bring them in. It isn’t on sale yet. Joining the waitlist is free. You won’t be asked to pay.
£79.99
Including VAT, when it opens. Coming soon. The waitlist is free and takes no payment. We’ll email you if it opens.
Who it’s for
It’s for a founder who wants the Teardown, and also wants us to read the tracking that’s already on the site. You’d still need to own or run the product. You don’t need a tracking setup to join the waitlist.
What you get
Everything in the Teardown: a full report, usually 15 to 25 pages, and a one-page summary. The same sections, the same verdict and score out of 50, and a source for every claim, with the date we read each page.
On top of that, a read-only review of three Google tools:
- Google Analytics 4, or GA4: Google’s count of visits, and what people do on the site.
- Google Tag Manager, or GTM: the place the tracking tags on the site are set up.
- Search Console: Google’s record of which searches bring people to the site, and whether Google can find the pages.
We use those to say whether tracking works, where visitors drop off, and which searches bring people in. We say plainly what we couldn’t check.
An example of the report
The written report is the same kind of read as our Teardown of Named Atlas (namedatlas.com), which we read on 9 October 2026. The verdict was Conditional go, score 21/50, marked as an estimate. Teardown+ adds the tracking section on top of a report like that. Read the Named Atlas Teardown.
It’s a waitlist for now
Teardown+ is coming soon. It is not on sale, and there is no checkout. Joining the waitlist is free. We don’t take a card, and joining doesn’t commit you to buying. If it opens, we’ll email you. You can ignore that email.
The price when it opens will be £79.99, including VAT. That’s the £49.99 Teardown plus £30 for the tracking read.
How you would give us access
This is what happens after you order, once Teardown+ is on sale. It does not happen when you join the waitlist.
We email you a SoberRead address. You add that address, and only that address, in three places. The access is read-only. We can’t change the tags, the settings, or the site. You can remove the address whenever you want. After we deliver the report, we ask you to remove it. The clicks, the address to copy, and how to remove it are in the access guides.
- Google Analytics 4. Open the property, then Admin, then Property access management. Add the address as a Viewer.
- Search Console. Open the site, then Settings, then Users and permissions. Add the address as a Restricted user.
- Google Tag Manager. Open the container, then Admin, then User Management. Give the address Read access.
How we treat that data
When you grant that access, we act as a processor of that data under a short data processing agreement. We use it only to write your report. We don’t use it for anything else, we don’t sell it, and we don’t publish it. The terms set that out.
If we can’t get the information
Sometimes we can’t read the tracking. That happens if:
- access isn’t granted within 48 hours of ordering, or
- there’s too little traffic to read, because Google hides figures when the numbers are small, or
- GA4, Tag Manager, or Search Console isn’t set up.
If that happens, you choose one of these:
- A refund of the £30 difference (£79.99 minus £49.99).
- A free follow-up Teardown+ later, once access is granted or there’s enough data. We re-assess the whole product again, not only the tracking, at no extra cost.
The free follow-up has to be claimed within 6 months of the day we deliver the original report. Claim it by replying to hello@soberread.com. We’ll email a reminder about a month before those 6 months are up. If you don’t claim it in that time, the offer ends. No refund is due then, because you chose the follow-up instead of the refund.
Either way, we still deliver the full Teardown on time. We also report what we could see from the outside: whether the tracking tag loads, whether events fire, and what the public sitemap and Google’s indexing show. We say plainly what we couldn’t check.
Timing, price, and the 14-day promise
Once Teardown+ is on sale, the report still arrives within 48 hours of payment. The tracking section is in that same delivery when we can read it. The price is £79.99, including VAT.
The same 14-day fix-or-refund promise as the Teardown covers the report. If a figure is wrong, or the report doesn’t help you decide, tell us within 14 days and we’ll correct it or refund the fee. The £30 choice above is separate. It’s only for the case where we couldn’t read the tracking. See the refunds page.
How the waitlist works
- Leave your email on the waitlist. You can add a link and a note if you want. There’s nothing to pay.
- We keep that note and email you if Teardown+ opens.
- If you order then, we send the SoberRead address and you add it as a Viewer, a Restricted user, and Read access, as above. The access guides show the clicks.
